Whether it is a wedding ceremony or a civil union, making a commitment to another person remains one of the key rites of passage in life, one that is most often witnessed by family and friends. This may be a simple ceremony at home in the garden or something on a grander scale. Either way the occasion deserves the very best of attention when it comes to constructing the ceremony.
As a registered marriage and civil union celebrant my responsibility and commitment is to ensure your day goes ahead with a well-planned and carefully constructed ceremony which meets all the legal* requirements and is one that you have both been closely involved in.
I like to keep the process relaxed and informal, initially meeting with you to decide if I am the right person to be involved with your special day. My ceremonies can include elements that are traditional or something more flexible and creative, depending on what resonates with you as a couple. The venue will be reflective of the type of ceremony you choose and you may wish to invite others to be involved in the process and actual ceremony itself. It is important to know that you have choices and that I am there to support you in those, so your ideas and dreams become a reality.
Contact me on 021 781 873 if you would like to discuss your dreams for your special day.
*For further information regarding your responsibility regarding legal requirements please visit the Department of Internal Affairs’ website. This site has the latest information and the process involved in obtaining a Notice of Intended Marriage which is required for the marriage licence.
“This day I will marry my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love. ”
